RECYCLING CALENDAR 2019

Recycling bins or carts are provided and owned by Waste Transport. Please put out curbside by 7:00 a.m. to ensure you are not missed. Recycling bins indicate to the contracted hauler that they should stop to pick up recycled materials.

Property owners are responsible for recycling bins or carts given to them for recycling use. Replacement cost for lost, stolen or broken bins or carts are currently $16 plus tax for 18 gallon bins or $48 plus tax for 96 gallon cart. Property owners/tenants – if you are NOT using recycling bins or carts please contact city hall at 608-687-7481 to arrange for pick-up.

The Fountain City Recycling Center Site Tipping Fees as of June 1, 2019. Items can only be brought during open hours, fees need to be paid to the on-site attendant. Dumping items outside of gate is subject to fines.

Garbage Pickup is every Wednesday beginning January 2 with one exception – last pick up day will be Thursday, December 26. Garbage bags should be placed on curbside by 7:00 a.m. on pickup day. Waste Transport garbage bags are available for purchase at City Hall and Kwik Trip. Any other bag is not accepted. Placing garbage out on the sidewalk or curb longer than 24 hours prior to pickup is in violation of city ordinance.
