Public Works Supervisor
The City of Fountain City is accepting applications for a full-time public works supervisor. The selected individual will be responsible for all technical and day-to-day operations of the Waste Water Treatment Plant (WWTP), Water Utility, public works and cemetery. Successful applicant will be expected to be able to perform a variety of skilled and unskilled tasks and provide administrative guidance for efficient operation in areas noted above. Hands-on work style and strong communication and customer service skills are essential. Preferred requirements include previous public works experience, State of Wisconsin Waterworks and Wastewater Operator certificates or the ability to obtain certificates within a specified period at the time of hire. Salary negotiable DOQ.

The City of Fountain City will be holding open gym nights again this winter, running from Dec 4th through March 28th. Join in the fun on Monday and Wednesday nights from 6pm to 8pm. Join in a game of basketball, volleyball, pickle ball, ping pong and other fun games.
Open Gym held in the Fountain City Auditorium. Please wear clean sneakers. There is limited equipment there for your use but your are welcome to bring your own.

A huge Thank You to the Rhubarb Festival for your $300 donation and St. John’s United Church of Christ for your $205 donation. With these combined funds the committee is pursuing the purchase of new heavy duty, coated picnic tables.
If you are interested in contributing as well, a check can be dropped off or mailed to City Hall. Please note on your donation that it is for “park beautification”. Additionally, Memorial picnic tables can be purchased in honor of your loved ones. Please contact Judith Ganger for more information.
This notice is to inform the public that the Fountain City Waterworks 2016 Annual Consumer Confidence Report is now available. You may obtain a copy at City Hall during office hours or call 608-687-7481 to have one mailed to you.

An event like this has a huge and lasting impact on our communities. The press and articles that are generated from such a unique event are written about year after year. In addition, the pros will be sharing photos and articles about fishing in our area. In total, making our backyard a desirable location to fish and visit.
This year’s coverage will include Facebook live sessions with the pros and the companies during the events, along with the media posting updates from the event on their webpages highlighting daily coverage of the event.
